National Day Parade Singapore NDP 2026: The Complete SG61 Guide (Date, Tickets, Fireworks & Where to Eat)
Quick Answer: Singapore's National Day Parade (NDP) 2026 takes place on Sunday, 9 August 2026 at the National Stadium, 1 Stadium Drive — its first time back there in a decade.
This year marks Singapore's 61st birthday (SG61), with the theme "Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!", a first-ever indoor drone light show, and fireworks from around 7.30pm. Because National Day falls on a Sunday, Monday 10 August 2026 is a public holiday in lieu, giving Singapore a long weekend to celebrate. Before or after the celebrations, Barossa Steak & Grill is running an SG61 dining treat — 2 mains plus a $6.10 add-on — every Monday to Wednesday in August, perfect for a red-and-white dinner to bookend your National Day plans.

Where Is NDP Singapore 2026 Held?
NDP 2026 returns to the National Stadium at Kallang, marking a symbolic double milestone: it's 50 years since the first NDP was held at the old National Stadium, and 10 years since the parade was last staged at the current stadium (2016). The move from the Padang means a much larger crowd — about 42,000 seats, nearly double the Padang's roughly 27,000 capacity — so more Singaporeans can experience the parade live.
What's New at NDP 2026?
First-ever indoor drone light show — over 300 drones as part of the largest indoor special-effects presentation staged at an NDP to date
Three brand-new original songs from the "Go Beyond" concept album: Giants (Iman Fandi), Sparkle (Gareth Fernandez & Dru Chen), and You'll Be Okay (Jasmine Sokko)
Largest civilian participation in over a decade — around 2,000 community performers
Traditional highlights remain: the State Flag Flypast, Feu-de-Joie, and Presidential Gun Salute
Not returning this year: the Red Lions parachute display, the mobile column, and the aerial display, due to operational and safety considerations
How Do I Get NDP 2026 Tickets?
NDP tickets are free but distributed through an electronic ballot open only to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with a valid Singpass.
Application period: 23 May – 6 June 2026
Ballot results: notified via SMS/email between 15–17 June 2026
Ticket quantities: 2, 4, or 6 per successful application (children and infants-in-arms each require a ticket)
Balloting for 2026 has already closed. If you missed out, you can still catch the parade via live telecast, the NDP preview shows, or by heading to a public vantage point for the fireworks.
Where Can I Watch the NDP 2026 Fireworks for Free?
Even without a stadium ticket, fireworks are typically visible from vantage points around the Kallang Basin and the city skyline. Good free-viewing tips:
Arrive early — popular spots fill up fast, especially with photographers
Rehearsal and preview nights are usually less crowded than the actual parade day
Bring only the essentials if you're claiming a spot for hours
