Your Game Plan: How to Get the $12 Wagyu Before It Sells Out

Barossa Steak & Grill Australian F1 Wagyu Oyster Blade Steak for $12

1. Go Early

There are only 100 portions a day, and they're first come, first served. Arrive early in the day, especially on weekends.

2. Walk In

This one is for walk-in guests. Just turn up at Barossa in VivoCity.

3. Bring Your Group (Up to 10)

Every person can order one, and a table can have up to 10 people. That's up to 10 wagyu steaks at $12 each for your table.

4. Order It Your Way

The chef recommends medium-rare for beef. Then explore the rest of the new menu: Josper-grilled steaks, sharing boards, sides and desserts.

Countdown: Only Until 15 November

  • 2 November: the deal starts

  • Weekends (7–8 and 14–15 November): busiest days, go early

  • 15 November: last day. After that, the steak goes back to its usual price

What Is an F1 Wagyu Oyster Blade?

F1 wagyu is a first-cross: wagyu bred with another breed, often Angus. It keeps wagyu's marbling at a friendlier price. Oyster blade is a cut from the shoulder blade, known for its marbling. At Barossa it's grilled and served as a steak: "beautifully marbled, tender, and grilled to perfection", in our own words.

What's New at Barossa?

Barossa reopened as Barossa 2.0 with a refreshed dining room, private room and alfresco on the VivoCity waterfront, and a new menu by Chef Dylan Ong built around the Josper charcoal grill. See the full menu.
